Without doing any mods..can I run a percentage of filtered wvo with my bio in my 7.3 without creating problems. I want to do something for the summer months. I only have 1 tank, and haven't had the time or $$ for a second tank or research a system to do this year round.

Yes, but I would keep to 75/25 Bio/WVO.

Curious, How did you come up with that ratio? (reasoning) viscosity or temperatures? I'm learning.

Yes, please share more. During the summer I go with a 50/50 diesel/WVO blend in my main tank and WVO in the heated tank. Some go as high as 85% WVO to 15% diesel. Does the biodiesel stratify? Is the specific gravity less so as to float on top of the WVO?

Hey... 50% is still cutting costs effectively in half.

My Bio has a lower viscosity then #2 I can tell when I running to high of ratio of WVO because my pump starts making allot of noise. With #2 I've run as high as 80/20 WVO/#2 with no problems in the summer.

I have an FN74 on order (when Jason can get moved into his new place, he will ship it)... in the mean time, I have about 200 gallons of fltered partial-hydro soy that I was thinking of doing some blending with. Hauling around my 8000# Travel Trailer on the weekends for camping is getting expensive.

I keep reading the words "summer months"...

... can you tell me the temps at which you start running blends? Here "up north" right now, it gets up to about 80+ degrees in the daytime, but still cools down to 50 degrees or so at night.

Even in the heat of "summer", it will get up to about 90+, but still cool down to around 60+.
