Bizarre but honest question about turbo...

For a while now, about 10k miles, I've had intermittent barking of the turbo on deceleration and every once in a great while on acceleration. The other day, after a 2 hour jaunt, while listening to a weak AM radio station I heard the whine/spinning of the turbo on the radio. It only lasted as long as the station was weak, but it was definitely the turbo.
Is the turbo headed for failure?

most likly not. these turbos bark mine does it if its under a heavy load and i leet off of the pedel to fast. its the back presure trying to run back the other way.
and as for your radio ? try putting a noise filter inline on the power wire going to it.
the 03 have a butterfly valve at the intake after 03 they took this valve away. when you let off of the pedal it will close and if there is a lot of boost at the time it will push back through the turbo. i have seen this valve whe i had my intake elbow off
i beleave the 03 is the only year with this.
