Blown fuse that control fuel pump

I have a 2001 f-250 diesel and I let someone use it the other day. As he was driving it the engine shut off. I was not there but he says that the fuel pump was not working before the engine was turned over. He also said the "wait to start" light was not on. He noticed a 30amp fuse blown and replaced it. It blew again a little whiole longer. Any ideas? He reprogramed the engine with a bullydog and put it back at factory settings and it so far has not poped. it has been parked for a day.
