Blue exhaust smoke after getting the air out of injector system lines ?

I really don't think you cracked a piston ring from dry start with the starting fluid, you may have displaced carbon deposits around the rings, which would loosen up rings and may cause oil burning till the rings reseat. Check crankcase pressure for blowby will have some also check the valve on the driverside valve cover clean or replace. Does you engine have a turbo maybe seals leaking slightly, any lost of lube oil noticed? What's the miles on the engine.
 
How does the engine idle ? open each injector line one at a time engine should run rough,then close do this to all injectors if it doesn't run rough it could be a bad injector. What did you do to repair air leak, o rings top of injectors? did you get any dirt in the top of the injector? check return lines for kinks. If rings were a problem crankcase pressures would be high
