After I changed to the ATS housing, I can now acheive 22psi in stock. When towing heavy at WOT I can hit 1325egt, I do not let it stay there of course. When running tunes I can only hit 25psi. Is this because, I didn't adjust the wastegate & will it hurt anyting this way. I have never set off any codes so far approx (25,000) miles

It is not a bad thing to only get 25 psi because that is about the safe limit on the stock charger, although you should be able to see more than that, I can hit about 30. Try unplugging the red wire that plugs into the wastegate canister. That will keep the wastegate closed a little longer. Also check all your boots for leaks, I had a loose boot and after I tightened it I found 20 lbs. of boost that was missing.

With the max boost at 22psi and a high EGT of 1300 and all of your intake boots tight with no leaks with stock tunes, I would start seriously considering replacing the up-pipe donuts. Exception is going to the IH style of pipes in lieu of the Ford style.
Go to this thread and read up.

If the up-pipes are leaking he would have lower boost and high EGTs not more boost. Also with stock tunes you should not be seeing that high of boost or EGTs are you sure you uninstalled your tuner might try taking it off again and see if it changes anything.

From what I read, that is what was happening. Lower boost and higher egts. Whatever.
My up-pipes were leaking a little and I had a bad turbo and my symptoms were similar. New turbo and up-pipes and things are smoking.... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smokin.gif

Stock boost is supposedly 17psi, correct? I am getting 22psi, so don't know how you read I was getting low boost. My questioned was if the wastegate is set a little tighter than it's suppose to be, since I did not adjust it with the ATS housing. Would it cause the increase in boost and EGT's.

I don't think in a stock tune you would have enough fuel to make that much boost even if they WG was to tight.

Ok, here some more info. I have return to stock tune 3 times today with no change in condition. Currently my so called stock produces moderate clouds of smoke under half throttle. 22psi of boost & 1350 egt, no speed limiter, and more power than it shold have. When running any of the other tunes I get no smoke, 24psi & 1100-1250egt at WOT. What has happened to my stock, I have talk to Bully Dog about it. They don't seem to beleive me, they also said that there was no way this could happen. They don't have my luck, suprise! They also said I could send it back, so they could look into it but it will cost $150 plus shipping? Any suggestions?

I heard from a guy at 4 wheel parts that Bully Dogs stuff never quite make it back to stock, he said there is always some of there program in the pcm. How much truth there is in his statment. And the guy has been there for a while and knows what he's talking about thats why I didn't doubt him,but then again thats all hear say never seen anything confirmed.
