Boreing a diesel out

I was wondering has anyody taken a block like oh lets say a Ford 6.9 IDI and bored it out. I'm not just talking about that block but other blocks too. If anybody has can you tell me the origonal cubic inch or literadge to the after math (ex. 6.9 to 7.1). Have you even heard of somebody doing something like that.

Thanks for the replies guys.

Yep, back in the good old days we had a complete hi-dollar cylinder boring machine in our truck shop, we could do a block .010, .020, or .030 over. As far as what you end up with cubic inch wise versus what you started with, you'll have to get a handy-dandy math or physics book and look up some volume equations plus know the bore and stroke of what you're dealing with.
