I'm pretty sure the 3" drums are for SRW trucks and the 3.5" drums are for DRW trucks.

Brake drum size
Any way to determine what size brakes/ drums without pulling the drums? 3.55 axle code 39. Not sure if the shoes are 3 or 3.5". Any help appreciated.
