I'd like to know what site sponsors are going to give the best deal for aftermarket brake rotors/pads..

I've looked at Powerslot Cryo'ed rotors and Hawk pads and i'm thinking those are my choice for now (though one vendor mentioned PowerSTOP rotors-not sure how similar these are to the Powerslot's though)...

for the pads i am wondering what model Hawk pads are right for my truck also...mostly short trips and in town driving, but we do pull an 8k TT also...

Thanks for the input...

Whatever you do, don't even think about looking at the best for the money and best performing drilled and slotted rotors, plus their no-dust pads for less than 1/2 the price of Powersluts and Hawks.

i've been there before Pappy, but always get error messages when trying to do the price quote so i sent them a regular email...we'll see what they have to offer pricewise...

Pappy..where did you find your brake lines?

You want to use the LTS pads with the Powerslots, trust me I know, check your PM's for more info.

Got my SS brake lines at Super Duty Headquarters in AZ.

Also don't listen to all the hype about not using drilled and slotted rotors, it's all bull. If you email rotorpros, they will get back to you. I also called them when I had a question regarding prices. One of the biggest issues that most have when replacing their rotors is not either rebuilding the calipers or getting a set of rebuilt calipers.

rebuilding calipers is required with a brake job??

or is that just a SuperDuty thing? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

It's a crap shoot if you don't. Are you feeling lucky?

No need to rebuild unless the calipers have frozen and even then it isn't a must. Just make sure the pins are lubed properly and the boots are in good shape and you will be fine.
