I want to replace my brake drums and am finding quite a range of prices. Are the more expensive ones really better or is a brake drum a brake drum? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif

What I'd be concerned about is where it is made. I have had very poor past luck with overseas rotors and drums on a variety of vehicles. Warping and out of round are the issues I've experienced. At NAPA the low line is typically Chinese made and the high line is American made. I don't like doing the same job twice due to low quality parts. A cheap part may provide a "free" warranty replacement but you are still investing your time and inconvenience into it.

Thanks, I will ask about where they are manufactured. Having the new drums warp or something in a few months would take all the fun out of saving 40 bucks. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
