Break in before towing

Keeping my fingers crossed! Traded a perfectly good 2003 7.3 for a new 2005 6.0 lariet yesterday. After having purchased many new vehicles over the years, can't believe the deal I got on this bad boy. So, the question is, I have a trip planned for next weekend to pull my 8000 pound camper to Tennessee. How many break in miles should I try to get on the truck before it is safe to tow?

Congrats on your new truck!

Unless the 2005 owners manual was updated, my 2004 states not to tow until you have atleast 500+ miles. If gives the new parts some time to get use to each other.

Some believe it doesn't matter, I waited till 1000 miles.
