Murphy's law. We're leaving for vacation tomorrow (Friday) night, and I managed to break the petcock on the fuel/water separator =( This is the type that has a cap on the under-side of the fuel filter. so now its broken in two pieces. I could try a temp fix by doping the threads, thread it all the way in, and plugg the drain channel. Here's the part..
.......______
.......|||||| Top part has broken off
------||||------ bottom cap of filter
........|||| threaded hollow shaft
........||||
.....|||||||||| round knob
.........|| drain hole
Questions.. where can I find a new one fast?, If I can't find a new one, how would you guys rig a temp fix? What sealant will stand up to diesel, and not contaminate the fuel? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif Thanks in advance.
