I am headed to BTS in June for a new tranny. I have heard some of you had a chip burned while at Brian's to match the new tranny. How have you liked it? What other upgrades have you guys had done while there and how did you like it? Thanks.

Just ask Brian yourself, he is a straight up guy, won't spew(sp) BS, and doesn't try and sell anything. He took time to show me around Lead Hill and I didn't buy anything!!

I had a bts tranny installed in late feb, Brian and his crew were great! I had Cale burn me a 4 pos chip, it runs great! Good egt's, nice tranny shifts, can't beat it w/a stick. Can't go wrong w/Brain!

Brian's first love is hot-rodding the engine. But he was so good at hot-rodding the engine that he couldn't find an automagic tranny that could take the power he was throwing at it. So he was forced to figure out how to bulletproof the tranny so it would hold up to his hot-rodded PSDs.

Unintended consequences: His bulletproof trannies made him famous, so most of the new guys don't know he is a hot-rod guru too.

Brian is very busy building trannies, so others usually do the hot-rodding under Brian's supervision. Plus, the younger guys probably are more understanding of the fine points of bit-fiddling with the computer programs required to do a good job of hot-rodding a PSD.

If I needed a different hot-rod setup on my PSD, BTS would probably be my first choice of a place to get it done. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/warmsmile.gif

You better believe it is. Brian tweaked the pump for me on an 84' 6.9 back before anybody ever dreamed of sticking a chip on these trucks or even a turbo. He has forgotten more than most of us will ever know about adding HP to these trucks. I understand Cale is taking after his dad, and is a pretty darn good tuner /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif

Thanks guys. I am planning on upgrading the tranny, HPOP, and a custom chip all at the same time while at BTS in June /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif. I just hope Brian has the HPOPs in stock by then. Another concern was getting some updated parts for my ITP fuel system that are physically compatible with the BTS HPOP. Emailed Dennis and he is already working on it. My wife figured out what I was up to and volunteered to go along to "relax and do some reading" /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif. She said we could even trout fish a day or two before coming home /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif. I may cry....
