Have ordered an F450 Lariat. Just got the build date for the week of February 20. How long after a build does delivery take?

Depends. How are they shipping it - Rail or Convoy? Did you get a spray-in bed liner? VIN number of the F350 (Platinum DRW 4X4) we ordered was built week of Jan 9th and was to come with 5th wheel prep & spray-in bed liner. Shipped by convoy to Alabama to be delivered Jan 26 to Feb 1st. Noticed a Jack Cooper Transport Freight Bill # on Jan 17th. New Freight Bill # assigned Feb 2nd. Still no truck. Jack Cooper status always says pending. People who ordered similar trucks in mid-December have already gotten their truck. Maybe they lost the key fobs to ours?

We're full-timers and will leave the area soon. No way we can get the 1,000 miles in before towing between now and when we leave should the truck arrive. Beginning to adjust to the idea that we may have to forfeit the deposit and move on.

Good luck and enjoy that truck! David

Oh my. I hope your truck comes in time to take on your travels.

Yes to spray in liner and fifth wheel/gooseneck prep on our truck.

Thanks - us, too! Reading some other forums, it appears most people are being told 8-10 weeks. I didn't find anyone talking about any current rumors that F450s are being held back. It still seems those of us with a spray-in bed liner maybe taking a little longer. Rail delivery still seems to be taking longer than convoy - unless you're in Canada. So, unfortunately, it depends...

I think you'll be real happy with the F450 - especially that 48 gal fuel tank! David

We can give you an update on ours. Ordered Nov 22nd, built week of Jan 9th, 1st promised delivery Feb 1st via convoy (told vehicle on ramp, ready to ship & we had a freight bill #), second promised delivery date Feb 10th via convoy (again, vehicle on ramp, ready to ship & we had a new freight bill #), 3rd promised deliver date Feb 16th via rail (after truck held back to have cameras re-calibrated - that's the story & they're sticking to it). Looks like Feb 16th is a real delivery date as the rail car got into town today.

Most trucks built week of January 9th and shipped to the 4 local dealers arrived Feb 1st-3rd. One F350 DRW Lariat Ultimate FX4 with cameras, 5th wheel package, and spray-in bed liner came up on one local dealer's web inventory on Feb 4th. It's VIN so close to the one we're given that it was shocking - maybe 15 units off not counting the check value number that appears earlier in the VIN.

So, at the moment 8-10 weeks looks like a good estimate if nothing goes wrong. David

Ordered an F450 Lariat 2/6/17.
Build date 3/21/17.
Delivered today 4/4/17.

So exactly two weeks from build date to delivery for me.

I know this is an older thread, but I ordered my F-450 Lariat on 3/15, and just got the ETA of 5/21, so I agree with the 8-10 week turn around.

Not sure if it's true, but I heard from one salesman that the duellies and 450's take a little longer to ship because they are so long/big they take up more space on transport so they may not fit on the load and have to wait for the next.

Ours didn't take very long. It shipped a few days after production. Took maybe a week to go by rail from Kentucky to the dealer in Oregon.

I'm hoping that ours takes a week to get to Oregon, I'm in the greater PDX area. We have an ETA right now of 5/21, we leave on our summer rv (5th wheel) trip around a month later and that doesn't leave a lot of time to rack up the 1000 mile break in before hooking it up and hitting the road all summer.
