Has anyone heard about the bulletin on the leaky exhaust manifold? I had taken my 04 F-250 in for a loud whistling and a raw diesel smell. They originally told me it was "normal" but I have had 3 trucks since 95 and never heard a whistle this high frequency and under load. I was just contacted by the dealer and they told me there was an exhaust manifold leak and it was on a bulletin. They had to order the gaskets from the manu and it will be a week until they come in!! Any info???

You mean I had something else deleted when I got my truck /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif

Really, There are no manifold gaskets on these motors.

I was called today by the dealer and the "part" is in and they can fix this problem. I will post more after I see what they have in-store. On the phone they said again exhaust manifold gasket, so I'll let you know.
