I have an 04 with the 03 motor. Lots of problems, 2 turbo's, EGR cleaned several times, O rings replaced on it then finally the EGR replaced. EBP sensors twice, VGT solenoids twice, oil leak etc. Every time I pull my 5th. wheel across the country it breaks down. Stranded in Nevada and Utah twice!! I bought used from a private party so the Lemon Law is out but I can go after Ford for a breech of warranty ( advice from a lawyer friend) I have been in touch with Ford Customer Care and they want the truck at the dealer to be looked at one more time then they will make the decision on what to do. Anyone with experience with this I could use the advice so I'm not walking in blind. I love this truck and put alot of money into it.I don't want anything free just a reliable truck, but it keeps stranding my family on the side of the road, yeah it's always covered under warranty but that doesn't help me get my family off the highway. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!!

In the proces at this time. Please review all my previous posts. I was talking to Ford about everything, but I got the feeling they were just stringing me along. I contacted Better Business Burea- Autoline and now Ford will not even take my calls. BBB indicates that they are in the process of an arbitration. It has been three weeks now since I contacted BBB. I just got the truck back on Monday, from the new dealer. Check my posts. Let us know how it is going.

I posted a thread on here a while back that outlined the entire process I went through. Do search and you will find it. I was hoping the moderators would make it a sticky but they didn't.
I was successful with my ordeal

Same problems with my 03. Bypassed BBB and got attorney. Demand letter sent to Ford and had offer in three weeks. Replace or buy back. Took buy back which included all years tags and out of pocket expenses like towing and RV parks.

I bypassed the BBB in favor of the Attorney General's office for binding arbitration for a 2001 Chevrolet P/U.

I filed in late September 2003. Confirmed receipt and initial processing in early November via official letter. I received phone call from the Attorney General's office in early December to setup the arbitration meeting. Arbitration in early January 2004. Waited several weeks to receive buyback paperwork and turned my truck in late February 2004.

The entire process took 5 months.

Well Ford Customer Care Dept. called back and denied my request for a buy back or a replacement. Not even an offer for an extended warranty!! He said they have denied the claim but will still fix the truck under warranty as it breaks. This does me and my family no good on the side of the road. I requested the DSB paperwork. Any more advice? My only fear is that I bought the truck from a private party with 9200 miles on it. The original owner had it in twice prior to my ownership. It is still under warranty with 40,000 miles on it. Thanks in advance for your advice.
