Looking at a dually 6.0L soon as a bit of a project truck... what should I look out for?

2006 F350 4x4 dually 6.0 diesel. 315,000 miles. Leather seats fully loaded. Has new ranch hand front bumper. Ive had the truck for about a year, I am the 2nd owner and its never been involved in any wrecks. the front end is fairly tight for the mileage and doesnt wander any. Two new batteries, new alternator. The turbo was also replaced with head gasket about 8k miles ago.

Bad: The number two injector is out (I took it to the diesel shop and they pulled the code for me and told me its the #2 injector, I thought it might have been the IPR valve so I had him check it for me) so it misses when it runs and has lack of power until its warmed up. After its warmed up it runs good, oddly enough. The AC also just stopped blowing cold, Im not sure why.
Blue book value on this truck with injector and ac fixed is close to 13,000.

I would want to make sure that #2 is just an injector and not a compression issue. The running poor until warm could be a failing FICM. Also have the oil versus coolant temps checked under load to make sure the oil cooler is not plugged.

Make sure you have a good 6.0L mechanic then tell him to check all of the "usual suspects". If he's any good, he'll know what to look for.
