Where on my truck would I look to see if it's equiped with a cabin air filter?
I did a search on this forum and came up with ZERO, so I'm counting on you all!
Also, when did the low fuel warning light go away?
My '01 had it, the new one does not.

"came up with ZERO"

That is how many filters you will find for the cabin air. It would be nice but not on our trucks.

No idea about the fuel light.

Ford didn't install these filters on the SuperDuty line of trucks. You may find an aftermarket source that didn't get rave reviews over the product they sold.

DizzyD,
The low fuel light is now part of the info center. If fuel gets low a very low chime dings and your odometer will go away and you will have a low fuel warning in its place. Guess how I know? Wandered what that funny little noise was all about, started looking and saw warning.

I thought that was standard equipment on my wife's 04 Expedition. Every weekend when I hop in it with the family I have that same message glaring at me. She works in the oil industry and still doesn't know how to fill up the tank. I asked her the other night how long it been since she fueled one of our vehicles...she couldn't answer me. God bless her.

Funny....

Once, I had an old girlfriend ask me how to get a quart of oil down into that skinny tube where the dipstick pulls out from. Her exact word were "I guess I don't have the right funnel."

I'm not kidding. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

My old girlfrends car was just about dry when I checked the oil. I asked her when was it that she last added oil? She said she hated to add oil because it made such a mess and took all day to get the oil down that skinny tube. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif I about messed my drawers from laughing so long and hard. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif

Remember, guys, our knowing this stuff is a big reason why the keep us around! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif My loverly spouse reminds me frequently that I'm here to (1) parallel park (2) take out the garbage (3) yard work (4) vehicle maintenance (5) drive the truck while she dozes (6) load the horses in the trailer and clean up after them.

Of course, there are certain benefits that come with these tasks .... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Thanks to all!!!!!!
I guess I would prefer the light on the dash, because the stereo is pretty much cranking out the XM signal towards the high end of the volume scale when ever I motoring around /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smokin.gif.
So a "low chime" may go un-noticed for a while.
Quite frequently, I'll turn off everything in the cab when I pull on to the end of our street heading home. With everything off I give a good listen for anything new under the hood or the floor.

Hey all. I just joined this thread (and Dieselstop.com), so forgive me if this is a rudundant question.
I just bought a 2000 F250 4x4 4dr, SD. I have 2 questions:
I recently noticed a musty odor when the AC is on. Anyone know how to get rid of it? (I noticed in this forum it states there is no cabin air filter).
second question. My message center needs to be replaced and I am looking for a used one. anyone know where I can get one?
Thanks!
Dan
