Want to snake a coax from under the hood thru the grommet beneath the gas pedal.

Unsure of path. Looks like (from the grommet side) the cable drops outside the wheel well, but it is not clear where the routing path is up to the hood where the "L" bracket connection is.

Thinking of the space that goes under the cowl, or maybe just straight down, but want to avoid any moving parts.
Any suggestions?

There should be a blind grommet located where the clutch master cylinder would be on a manual tranny truck outboard of the brake master cylinder (at least there is on a pickup cab, and I doubt they used a different firewall on the Excursion.) That's up pretty high on the firewall and could be used for routing your cable. You could also slide it in alongside the grommeted opening for the steering shaft. As far as routing it away from moving parts (steering shaft, etc.) I'd rely on zip ties to keep it in place. Another alternative would be to drill your own hole and put a grommet in place around the cable. you could locate that pretty much anywhere you want (and can get a drill into).

Thanks a ton. I'm printing this and tomorrow going to start tackling this. Thanks again.
