Just got my new F450 and I was wondering if there are any companies that make a slide in style camper that will fit on these beds? I had planned to get a slide in camper for my new Dually when I found one..but they made me a great deal on my truck.. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

No one??? Has any seen a regular slide in camper on a flat bed? Will the bottom of the camper actually support the weight or would I need to build a rack support system of some sort? Shurly someone has tried this???

The floor of the camper supports the weight no matter what its is setting in or on. I have seen several large 11.5 ft. campers on flat beds and I think they look good. The only thing to worry about is the height of your headache rack and the distance between the bed floor and the top of the headache rack. Most campers are built standard for the distance from a bed floor to the top of the cab with a few inches to spare depending on truck make.

Good point about the headache rack..might have to build a short 6-10" rack to hold the camper.... Hummmmm..it can be done... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
