My truck has been shutting off randomly for the last few months. It usually starts with what feels like rough shifting or missing follow by a check engine light and then turns off. I can usually start it right back up but sometimes I have to turn the key to the off position and wait a few minutes. It then starts back up and the check engine light is gone. I am thinking of changing out the Camshaft Position Sensor. I found one online but it is only like $15.00. Is this the right one???? Here is the page I found it at:

Looks like the right one, the part # you need is F7TZ 12K073-B. There are several threads on the new CPS, I would check them out.

I thought they were supposed to run between $50.00-$100.00????

From what I have read Ford came out with a new that is $27.62. I checked at my local dealer the other day, but they didn't have any in stock. They still wanted $190 for the old ones which they had. I told him to keep it and I would order off the internet. They are the same part number. The new one just has a "B" at the end instead of an "A".

And you are right, you could usually pick them up for anywhere for $50 to $100 before. Some guys still have them for that price, but I'm ordering one of the new ones.
