i am about to kill the truck i am so frustrated. i went through the top of the engine to get to the icp.

the only way i can get the crow foot around the sensor is with a breaker bar (no extension) and then i can't get any leverage to break it loose.

from what i have seen says to use an extension and a ujoint but it's so clumsy i can't get the crow foot around the sensor. i've tried going up from the bottom but with my back the way it is and the lift on the truck my arms just aren't long enough.

what am i doing wrong here. how should the wrench be set up? there is just nothing on this topic that is clear and consise and it drives me crazy. all the write ups i have seen are worthless without demonstration of what to do.

i am tempted to pull out the turbo and then i would probably be done but i would rather not

can't reach from the bottom my arms aren't long enough.
well i got it out of there. it dawned on me reach around the other side of the turbo with my left arm and help position the crow foot and keep on the sensor. then popped the ratchet drive on and less than a quarter turn to break it loose and i could unscrew it the rest of the way with my hand.

i do have to redo the connector. full of oil. i am glad i did go through the top of the engine. i wouldn't have noticed for a while that my oil cooler is leaking and the section of intake tubing that attaches directly to the turbo is worn out. who knows what's been sucked up in the turbo.
there is a truck accessory store near i went into to see if they had the part. the guys that run the place are 6.0 enthusiasts. they don't sell engine parts but they had what i needed laying around in the back and sold it to me cheap.
