just completed 30k fluid and filter change on my 04 f-350 4x4 crew cab long bed 6.0 and while truck was off the ground i decided i would rotate the tires. front wheels no problem. the rear wheels would not budge. YES, i removed the lug nuts. it looks like they are just stuck on. what am i missing? more nuts to remove? where? HELP!!!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif

My understanding is that the wheels get stuck sometimes because of rust or whatever. When you do get them off, clean the mating surfaces and but a film of grease on those surfaces will keep that from happening again.

fwiw I just had the same thing happen to my girls truck (alloy wheels)and the easy way to do it is get a sledge hammer and put a glove on the end so you won't damage wheel and give it a shot it will come off, I have also been lucky a couple of times to actually kick them and they came off.just keep one lug on enough to get a a good bite on the threads so the wheel won't fall over and damage it as it hits the ground

Another easier trick is to slightly loosen the lug nuts drive the truck ever so slowly and hit the breaks. You avoid the possibilty of damaging the wheels but you have to be careful. Note however, I did not do this but used the hammer method to get them off the first time. It was very difficult. I didn't think of the rolling method but my neighbor has had success with it. Since then I always use a little anit-sieze and they come off very easy.

Just did my brakes about 2 weeks ago. Yes they get tight.

Just loosen the lugnuts and kick the tire sidewall a few times...they will eventually break loose.

What Tallavana said. There was a long post on one of the forums several months ago about this problem and most posters agreed that loosening the lugs slightly and driving around the block slowly was the easiest most efective method.
