So I have the dreaded dead door lock actuator. Looks like the actuator bracket is riveted to the side of the door. How is the actuator removed? Don't want to just start pulling and stuff. Or drill out the rivet. Does the motor unit just pull off the rivet mount? Ugh, so far down in the bottom corner, hard to tell what's going on.

Any help would be appreciated.

Also, as for a replacement part, if I can't fix this one, will this work? Here it is

Thank in advance!

I drilled out the rivet on my 94 and then IIRC, I unclipped the rod where it attached. Get a mirror and a good flashlight to help you see what's going on. I going to guess that actuator will work. I used a factory actuator off a different vehicle and switched the rod from mine to the new one. Cheers!

How did you mount the replacement motor after drilling out the rivet? Bolt with a nylock?

Honestly I can't remember! I would have used a 1/4" phillips-head cap screw with maybe a nylock, but probably a regular lock washer and nut. Cheers!
