CEL has been on for 3 months. Truck gets 15 mpg and 12 mpg towing. The mechanic said that we could run it like that 😏

I would say your truck is running rich. I would also say you need to get this fixed. Its causing other codes to happen and if you keep driving you will go into speed limit and you can;t get out of it and the dealer may be the only one to fix it.
