The tensioner pully, don't just replace it, inspect your old one first and if it is bad replace it.

Yes, spin it and check it for play as well as noisy or cooked bearings. Usually when the bearing is bad, it will make a noise or click when spun(obviously after you remove the belt.)
Also, this is a good time to check all of your pulleys for proper operation.

Don't waste your time, just replace the tensioner and the upper idler at the same time. Easy and fairly cheap thru our sponser www.powerstrokeshop.com .
