I was first going to try to polish out the lenses with the Mother's kit. But I found out that even though it does a good job, it's still not new & probably will need to be re-treated regularly from what I read. Then I came across the actual replacement assemblies that most auto parts stores carry for much less $ on Amazon. So, pay $20-25 for the restoration kit or about $45 shipped (for both, NOT ea.) for brand new headlamps WITH bulbs. Not much of a decision for me. Anyway I started this last weekend and could not figure out how I was going to get the bottom adjuster clip out so I had to stop. I though of drilling a hole on the side of if to create an access, which I'm not sure wouldn't work using the right size bit/holesaw. And I had read somewhere about leaving it, which I didn't want to do. But.... I found this video today and decided to help some others out and post what I found & what I decided to do. I will keep the new adjusters for back-ups and re-use the old ones since it's much too easy this way. I'll try to post up before & afters when I do it this weekend & part #'s. I also found the clips at O'Reilly's as I had pretty much accepted I would have to break the bottom ones to get them out. I am removing 1 battery at a time to gain access to the nuts which will keep the radio & other things from being cleared. Anyway check out this video of an F150. I did the same small screwdriver trick, but I like the coat hanger idea and will do it as well. And it's easier to me to use my cordless in place of dragging out the air tools ( I have a 1/4" adapter).
