I am struggling finding the recommended type of grease used to lubricate the chassis and front u-joints. Can anyone help me out with what the factory recommends? I have a 1999 Superduty.

No, the grease recommended by Ford for just about everything is a lithium based grease that contains high-density polyethylene and molybdenum disulfide. I just grab the Valvoline product that states moly on the tube or tub.

On the driveshaft slides (not U-joints) they recomend a Teflon added grease that is very expensive, but I don't have that part number with me.

For brake slide pins it the standard silicone brake caliper grease.

Thank you very much for your input. I'm heading off to purchase the Valvoline product.

Best Regards To All!

I've got a full can of it rather then the tube so I'm sure it will be sold at an estate event.
