On Friday, I had the recalls done. Idle got louder, but mileage has increased too. Anyway, after about 300 miles, the check engine light came on (on a start). Stopped at the dealer this am with the light still on, and they said there was no code stored. Tech said the crimpes at the EBP sensor they replaced were loose, so he tightened them up. How can the light be on, but no code?

I think the PCM stored a "tech malfunction code" but he didn't want to admit it.
Why did he splice the new EBP on? (I assumed that when you said crimps were loose) I figured it would be a sensor "pigtail" with a plug on the end like most everything else. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif

No idea why they said pigtails. Light came back on and I was losing power. Turbo wasn't spooling up. All they told me now is they redid the recall. I assume it was just the reflash. Here we go. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif
