Every thousand miles or so my truck loses serious power and makes that loud turbo fart sound.Well today its been acting up with very low power every so often and the check engine light came on.Shut it off a few times and light was still on so I went to the dealer to make an appointment for wednesday morning.Came out started the truck and the check engine light is gone.Should I still bring the truck in to have looked at or will there be no codes now that the light is off.Seems as though when this happens I have low power ,little turbo boost,and a little smoke out the exhaust.What do you think?

Bring it in. You paid too much $$$ to have a truck not behaving right.

Should have stored a code if the light came on. Sounds like a chaffing wire problem

It sounds like a turbo sticking. But I hsve not had an 05 do it yet. Keep us posted. If they just throw on the ebp sensor drive it let us know if it fixed it. Also I have heard about the oil temp getting too high and causing a low power concern. I have a vdr out with one right not to see if that is what is up with his 05.
