I have an Extended Cab (Super Cab) 00 F-250. I am curious if the bench seat will pose an issue for a child seat for a new born. Yes, the wife and I just discovered she is pregnant with our first child.

Congradulations. My little girl is 1 year old and I to have an extended cab f250. A rear facing car seat wouldn't fit in the back of mine. I have an xl model with a solid front bench. If you have a folding console or a passenger seat that you can adjust, you should be fine. Congrats again. They grow up to quickly.

I had a '97 OBS extended cab and had to have the car seat (rear facing) right in the center of the bench so it actually poked between the two capt seats, and then the same way after a year old when he was able to face forward.

we have upgraded to a '04 CC and it makes it way easier with the two kids (1yr and 3yr) when it come times to strap them in.
