We recently bought a used centrifuge at a local auction - some old alfa laval model. The chamber seems to be ok - it's all stainless steel. The transmission is shot - all rusted and bearings seized. Anyone have experience repairing these machines? We can try do it ourselves if we can locate parts and a hopefully a parts book. We have large amounts of UMO which we want to use i our trucks. Any pointers appreciated.

I do not have experience with those machines but photos and P/Ns you find during disassembly could help.

Sounds like an interesting project but hard to compete with $2/gallon pump price for treated ULSD.

We had quite the group back when diesel was approaching $5/gallon. We found that mixing 15% gasoline into the waste motor oil and letting it settle was the key. Old stale gas worked best. Then centrifuge and use it. If the injector timing on the engine your running it in can be advanced, about 5 extra degrees helped minimize smoke. DP tuner has the program for the 7.3s.
