I have just replaced my headlights w/diamond clear and clear turn signals, (thanks to three dumb deer) /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif. Now I would like to get the cab lights to match. But I'm having trouble finding something to work. All sorts of lights for chevy, dodge, and newer fords but none for our trucks. Can any of the others be made to fit /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif. Thanks for the help.

i know apc has the clear roof lights to fit the old cab style such as yours. a friend of mine who used to have a shop in harrisburg had ordered a set for me thinking they would be the ones to fit my newer style cab(99+) but when we opened the box, they were for the older style(97-). i tried to get my brother to get them for his 94 to match all his clear lights but he never got them. try looking up automotive anything from harrisburg, he closed shop but i am not sure if he kept his number or not cause he does work on the side. he may still have the lights. oh, and this is harrisburg nc, not pa.

I tried the number in the book, but is disconnected. But a search for APC products turned up lots of places with clear lights for the older trucks, some a little cheaper, thanks. Been searching for weeks with no luck. Goes to show all you need to do is ask about it on this site and you'll get it.

If those are the ones in the pic, there actually for a cheby. 88 and up cab lights were those style. I have seen a few around here. now if the pic is wrong and they are really the 73-97 ford style cab light that would be cool.

Just talked with someone at autoparts warehouse by chat about APC lights and they said those lights are for f150 and would not fit f350 /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif.Now what.

I don't see how that is possible since all ford cab lights are the same, from 1973 all the way to 1997, half, 3/4 or one ton. I have installed many, and I source them off any year truck, from the above stated years, and I have yet to find a difference, until you get into some of the early 70's 1.5 and 2 tons, they had a different style.

parts guys. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif

Thats what I thought. But then again I've never looked close at an f150 with cab lights. Come to think of it, I don't know if I've really seen a f150 with cab lights. I may go ahead and order just to see. I've blown $50 on worse. They are listed f150 and I think the person I talked with just didn't know and didn't want to stick there neck out.

those lights in that pic are not the ones. the ones i had in my hands from apc are the original style as the old body style lights. and they come as a complete unit(base and lense) they average about $50 for the set of 5

Awesome, have to get me a set then, I dont know why but when I see a truck with the wrong style cab lights on it, I just think it look stupid. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif

maybe I am just to harsh, but all my stuff, mods or accents, have to be "year and body" specific.

so. $50 you say???? yea I have spent it on worse things too. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

If you do a search on APC lights there are several places selling them. But they all have the same picture and part number. I have found the number to the APC company tech department. I'm going to call, but will have to wait till they open. They are in Calif. and I'm in NC. I'll let you now what I find out.

Several months ago I called around until I was blue in the face on the clear cab lights from APC. They all said they had them...and then you call to order them, and then they just didn't have ANY at all, and no clue as to when and/or if they ever would again.

So, if this is really for real....would you hollar.

Just talked to APC tech department. They said the lights that everyone has listed #504111RL is in fact for F250/F350,its just the lense, you pop the yellow ones off the base and put the clear ones on. Sound too good to be true? It is, they have been discontinued and most likely not available even if list as such. I asked if they would be making them again and he said not likely, even when I informed him of the growing number of people here looking for them. I just happened to remember that I know someone that works for a plastics company and think I will see if I can get some custom made, and what the cost might be.

That whole pop off the old lense and put on a new one is what prolly killed them, my lenses are glued on, really tight, there is no popping them off.

bummer on the discontinued thing /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif , but thanks for looking for all of us.

actually that number is for the complete assembly: lens, base, pigtail, and bulb. no switching just the lenses
