At first I thought I was just getting used to the new truck and clutch but its apparent now that somethings wrong- Ive got a 97 f350 single wheel with a 5 speed and anytime you try and let out the clutch going up a hill in first or second its chattering really bad- Reverse is the same way. DOesnt matter where the rpm is how how slowly or quickly I let it out. Anyone else have the same problem? It doesnt do it all the time so Im not sure its the preasure plate.

Second problem is twice now Ive started the truck and its rattling and knocking like its running on 4 cylinders- THe first time I immediately shut it off and restarted it and it cleared right up- THe second time about 3 days later I left it running and it cleared up after 2 seconds. I bought the truck with a bad alternator so the batteries where low- Other than that everything else seems to run good- ANy thoughts or advice?

Do a search for "Dual Mass Flywheel". If the truck has the original clutch, its time to upgrade to a single mass from LUK or South Bend. A bad dual mass flywheel will make you think its bad injectors or other engine problem and If not corrected soon it may take out your engine and bearings. Catch it before its too late !
