1994 F250. When I let the clutch out, the truck jumps. But, after I drive it a short distance, it smooths out & acts normal. Let it set all night, same thing happens. New clutch time ? Thanks

Anything that moves with the pressure plate release would cause those symptoms. Either the slave, or master cylinder could be a little sticky, the throw-out bearing could be hanging up as well. Since it only does that when cold, I would look first at the hydraulic system.

It won't cost you anything to check. Lying in the floorboard, put your right hand on the clutch lever above the gas pedal so your fingertips are touching the bare steel pedal bracket. Use your left to move the clutch pedal firmly from its stop, down ~2", then back up to the stop. If the lever moves around (as opposed to simply pivoting in-place), the bushing is worn.

(Ahem, OP's truck won't have a gas pedal..... :stickpoke: )

Another similar test, but for the pedal box bushings - rest your right foot VERY lightly on the brake pedal, no pressure, just touching. Work the clutch pedal with your left foot. If you feel "feedback" in your right foot through the brake pedal while the clutch pedal is moving, the pedal box bushings are kaput.
