Howdy all

Working down far south in Mexico and my slave cyclinder has decided to go even further south on me.
The Powerstoke slave is not a availalble part down here from the Ford dealers.
My wife is flying down on the 8th, anybody now of a stocking dealer who we can get the slave cyclinder, master cyclinder and hose from in the US and will 2nd day it for us to our US address?

My truck is a 95, 7.3 5 speed 4x4 crew cab F 350 single rear wheel
Just getting run in with 325,000 miles and 325,000 smiles or about 12 to 14 smiles per gallon.

Love my truck

Thanks in anticipation

check with www.powerstrokeshop.com a site sponsor.

They can probably fix you up with a clutch master/slave kit.

I'll move this down to the 94-97 forum where it will be on topic.

If I can offer a piece of advice, get the aluminum slave, not the cheapo OEM plastic tube. The plastic casing won't last long in the heat. I speak from experience. I live in TX and the heat killed my plastic slave in no time.

I got the aluminum body slave from O'Reillys very inexpensively (definitely below $40). I think it was BrakeWare brand but am not 100% sure. It looks like this.

Hope this helps.

How hard is it to bleed this master. We have used the parts from Ford before and found it to be a mamoth PITA to get it to work correctly. We have just started buying the complete prebleed kit with everything but they do not seem to last very long here in N. Texas. JJ

For what it's worth, a small enough system that delivers downhill will return all the air uphill without cracking the bleeder. My original system did not have a bleeder, still does not have a bleeder, and operates flawlessly (but stiff).

i have asked a million times. but does anybody know if the complete $100 system from ford will work on the obs trucks? its for a sd but just wondering. seeing how a slave from ford for our trucks is over $100 by itself.

i hope i dont have to replace again anytime soon. they are not that hard to bleed imo. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif
