I am thinking of putting Archoil in my truck for better starting in the cold. My questions are will this hurt anything? Should I just run Archoil in the winter months? Will it run different when I am pulling my trailer? What things should I consider before putting this in my oil?

Welcome to the forum.

What kind of oil do you use in the winter?

A full synthetic 5W-40 is a great oil.

5w-40 is great for the Cold. Readily available and cheap at Walmart.

That being said I noticed a smoother running truck and even better starts after adding archoil in with my 5w-40.

Just dump archoil in and go.

Really?

Where do you get a good price on it? I see a 16-oz bottle is over $40.

Thanks

I have always used Delo 15w-40 year round, but last year I started having issues with cold starts. I checked glow plugs and they were good also replaced the GPR and it still did the loping when it gets below 32 degrease. If I plug it in it starts fine. Can I run 5w-40 synthetic in the winter than go back to Delo in the summer months?

Yes, there is no harm from switching back and forth between "Dino" and Synthetic oils..but I bet you won't want to once you see how much your 7.3 likes T-6

Wal-Mart $20/gallon and $10 for the Motorcraft filter.

Cheers
