I live in Minnesota. Have a 99 F-350 since 3/99. Recently temps here have been dropping below +30f at night. Next morning diesel will not even hint of firing until/unless I heat it up with the engine heater. Dealer says this is normal. Owners manual states heater shouldn't be needed warmer than -10f. Anybody have any experience with this?...

Don't think you'll get much response posting in this forum.
In other threads I've seen AlaskaDoug tell of starting his at -30 with just glow plugs.

If your dealer is telling you things contrary to the owner's manual, call Ford and complain about him. Then find another dealer.
