I found this system online.
Color / IR Camera and 7" LCD Monitor Kit

The unit cost $265.00 and comes with MORE than you will ever need to hook up the system plus any other DVD, Playstation, etc.

Camera has a nice wide angle and the IR kicks in when it senses darkness and illuminates about 25'-30' behind the truck.

I mounted the 7" LCD over the powerpoint with double sided tape and the camera sits on top of the bumper and just allows the tailgate to open. Total install time was about one hour. It makes hooking up a trailer almost too easy now.

I have mine set to be on all the time but there is a wire that you can have it active only when the truck is in reverse. It even has audio and a remote.

I think for the price, this is one hellova deal...

Thanks! I'll have to check them out at home. For some reason putfile.com is coming up as a porn site at work (now I'm in big trouble!)

Since you have had this installed for a while, what do you think about it? Would you do it again?? Pro's, con's?? Give some details.

Thanks!!

That looks pretty cool. I have the savv system. It is a 5 inch monitor that is mounted into your rearview mirror. It is transparent so when it is turned off you can see fine behind you. I got it off ebay for a little over 300 bucks with a nice camera. Check these out they are super nice. www.savv.com/rearview.html

Looks good! I actually put my monitor in my visor to keep it out of the way. It was a little unsettling cutting all the plastic out of it to mount the monitor, but now that it's done, all of my friends want one (I've been staring at my dad's visor here next to the computer for a month!)
