hello all i have a question i have a 2000 ford with a 7.3 im planning on doing a compression test to see if i have a bad head gasket ,do these enginges test through the glow plug hole or do i have to test it through the injector hole like the cummins,any info would be greatly apreciated,thanks

you will do the test through the glow plug hole. You will have to have a diesel tester as a regular tester will not hold up to the pressure these engines put out.(compared to gas engines) I just had to do this as well, but I had a hole in a piston. Pulled the engine, bought a new one, just about done with the install. I you have any questions that i can help you with let me know. Mines a 02 7.3.

good luck-7.3's arent known for head gasket issues,i lost a motor too-cracked piston,not trying to scare you
