I recently purchased a '21 F450 Lariat with 94K on the odometer. Overall the truck is great however there are several computer problems that have been causing frustration. On screen error messages have ultimately stated that I should bring it to my dealer and have the computer completely reloaded. Is this common practice?
Issues that I'm experiencing are: system does not remember prestored info, i.e., memory seat/mirror settings, sporadic failure/in-operative cruise control (adaptive and standard), sporadic error stating that steering assist is unavailable and many other situations. Any direction would be appreciated.

It may be a software upgrade. Part of the cost to repair is finding the problems. They usually take that off the cost of the repair. You could download WWW.forscan.org and see if you can fix it with that. I use a wired connection not the wireless. Last thing you want is to lose communication with the truck during the process.
