I am in the process of doing a complete flush and drain of the cooling system. Does anyone have any tips on removing the 2 drain plugs on the block? They have never been removed (86k orig miles). I read Gooch's flush procedure (but his is a Superduty with 2 of the 1/4 inch ext. plugs) The 95-96 have 1 of the 1/4 inch ext plug by the oil filter and 1 bolt type plug by the starter. Could this be a nightmare trying to get these out for the first time?
Thanks.........

get a couple 3/8" drive sockets that'll fit and a good size 3/8" ratchet and they'll probably come right out. if you take the block heater out of the oil filter housing you'll be able to drain a little more out there too. I don't know what Gooch's procedure says but I think you have to take the starter off on the pass. side.
