My truck was built in Feb 03. I just replaced the coolant, t-stat, upper/lower hoses 3 weeks ago. Truck has 76k on it.
Hoses & T-stat were in good shape, I just thought while I'm at it I may as well do it. 4gal of Zerex G-05 & distilled water.

How often are you guys flushing your cooling systems and replacing antifreeze?

No, you really don't. I did it cause it was 5+ years old & thought as long as I was doing coolant, I may as well do hoses and t-stat too. I probably didn't need to after looking at what I took off.Do you need to remove the thermostat to flush?
To get at the T-stat & lower hose, I had to take out the battery, the air intake ass'y, CAC, and a fuel line.
