Hello,
I very seldom wander from the 94-97 forum but I was wondering if I could see about getting an update to the tips section possibly a listing of common part #'s used by these models-GPR's,CPS's,newest oring Part #'s,cat delete pipe by ford,calif fuel kit,brakes,water pumps etc.All by the sellers-Napa,Ford,IH,Advance Etc.
The reason I'm asking is that the search engine for me is a pain in the rear,It would be nice to go to 1 page & find all the general nfo in 1 spot. Ive seen several posts like this on the forum but once you forget the name of the first post I can never find it again.
If it could added to by the members - part # so & so supercedes Part # X - to keep it up to date sure would be nice also.
I'm sure this would apply to all forums also. I could supply enough part #'s Ive copied & pasted to fill a page or 2 myself from this site.

I have been thinking the same thing but just never voiced my thoughts. That would be an invaluable resource for us '94-'97 Power Stroke owners!
As a (relatively) new Power Stroke owner this list would make it easy for those like me to find part numbers to begin doing some mods and maintenance by ourselves without worry.

I thought I might move this up to see if this post has any value.
I was recently reading about a locked post called tips tricks & something or other on the 94-97 forum.I have used this post many times for reference & was wondering if something like this could be done. My email account has a web page with a 6 meg limit.I would be more tham willing to donate it to the site to use for listing part #'s, links,
tips & so on.
If I were fluent in web design I would try it myself but I am horrible at writing!!

Actually Ive read that many times but it is very outdated. I also took several hours & hit the FAQ & so on. After looking at the 99 & up faq I really like the way its set up. (Although a bit thin compared to the forums)
But I saw a list of ford part #'s on another forum & thought that would really be nice to include here ( since this is the elite site for diesels

) But then I thought why copy from another site when you can improve on that & make it better !!
Another suggestion for the new folks that are just joining would be an link on the home page about HOW to use the search engine. I need this myself badly!
This would keep many reposts down & traffic too.
I've always read that yall like to keep sigs down to a few lines but couldnt find it anywhere on the site that definately says so it could be handy to include that too.
While I'm writing I thought I might ask about cross posting..
I recently read a thread about the X springs on the newer diesels & a fellow asked if they would work on the older models & was shot down bluntly about it. I beleive that it was a legit question since most folks in the 94-97 dont have a newer model truck & wouldnt know. Since this saggy spring fix may or may not apply to all models I think this was very rude & inconsiderate. If they were talkin about which oil was better or so on I could see it. But this was a actual technical question.

Please understand all -- I'm not being irate or anything these are just my suggestions I really enjoy this site ( Its the only reason I fool with the web very much anymore )
