Looks like I need to be doing the suggested steps much faster in order to stay relevant in the thread!

I need to say that the fuel filter was not black. So it seems there must be another source for the leak.

I updated the original thread with a picture of the filter/bowl, and short description.
Original thread is "7.3 consumes massive oil"


Hope I don't get thrashed by the moderators, I just don't know how to get feedback once I add the corrected
info so late in the comments, high quality content that they are.

The filter in the picture is not dark black but it is not white either. Stick a new filter on and drive it for a bit keeping an eye on the oil level, it should stay white for several thousand miles. I still think it is the O-rings. DENNY

The fuel in the filter housing should look like a Mtn Dew drink..

But it leaves a film on the roof of your mouth.
