Explain to me what a CPS is again, what is cost, and what is the best place to buy it from. I hear I should carry one of these in case the other one goes out. What are the symptons of a bad CPS? Thanks Caleb

Go to ebay and type in ford cam sensor. You will get them a lot cheaper and its nice to carry an extra around just in case. A lot of us have had good results buying these from eBay.

Blue or black color is up to you. You will get opinions both ways. I prefer to stay with what I know works, thus choosing black.

The International dealer is a good place as well, stay away from Ford. Its located in the middle of the front of the engine. If you look from the passenger side down following the belt down, you'll see a bronze pointer for timing marks. Thats the sensor. If your truck is older, might want to check it out ahead of time. 10mm 1/4" drive socket and a flathead screwdriver if you are lucky. Its a pain the first time and if you have no problems with the little bolt, its like a 5 min job. My last replacement was a 4-day job because of a seized bolt. It was stripped, had to get bolt-outs from Sears to remove it. Replaced mine with a 1/2" instead of 10mm and used anti-seize again.

Blue or Black does it matter. Since I dont have a history with E-bay I cant bid on the CPS and there is no international dealer around myself. What about the one from www.dieselpowerproducts.com? 100.00.
