How come there isn`t a Ford dealership in my surrounding area that has an idea what I`m talking about? (central jersey) No parts dept. is aware of this so called new number to have been released on May 1st.

anyone? Buelher?

My truck is stalling all over AGAIN, and I`m not keen on spending another $190 on a bad CPS, to last 4 months again.

HELP!

Your not alone. The dealerships around here gave me the runaround too. I ordered mine online from a dealership out of Indiana. I got two of them shipped to my door for $40.08 Just got them today and I am getting ready to install one of them. You may wanna try them out Powerstrokeshop.com or call 800-572-1422 and talk to Bob Baumann

I just changed mine out. Took me a whooping 16 min. The hardest part was getting the bolt to break loose which took me about 10 min.

Took me longer to get the little rubber thingy swapped and then getting it right so it would plug back in. Total, hot engine about 20 minutes.

It is funny you say that because I went to my local ford dealer and (my fried was the one looking up the part) gave him the part # and he was like "hold on let me go ask my boss somthing". Any how he comes back and was like "yea the part number you gave me is comming up but my boss will not let me order it untill all of our cps we have in the back are out of stock." And he asked me very nicely not to tell any one of the new part #! I LOL and told him I was going to tell everyone I knew of that the dealer loves to rip people off. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I have like five dealers within a 30 minute drive of me. Four of them gave me the "no new ones till the old ones are gone for 190 bucks", the last one sold me the old one for the new one price, "gotta move the old stuff". If it works, that's good enough for me. Guess who gets all of my dealer business from now on?

Either my dealer is different or the guy at the counter didn't know any better. I asked about the new one and he said they they had just come in that morning, May 17th. He said he had both in stock, and I could get one of the new ones if I wanted to. The other counter guy laughed and suggested that I shouldn't trust the new "cheap" one to work well. I just figured, what the heck does he know, they just got them in?

I wonder if FOMOCO knows what some of their dealers are doing in regards to this problem, I wonder if they have any control over it, or if they even care.

I checked with my nearby Iowa dealer. One parts man didn't know anytning about the new one, other guy knew but said they couldn't get any from their regional warehouse until all the old ones were gone. Think there was a post on here from a fella in NJ that was told basically the same thing.
