Looking on fleetfilter.com at all their filters. I found this Wix 42988 & Napa 2988 Breather: FleetFilter Secure Online Store . Never heard of one. Is this used like to be attached to the end of the hose if you have open air vented the CCV?

Those filters are used inside the air cleaner assembly of a gas powered (and with a carburetor) engine. I suppose they could be used in an open air ccv system though.

That is used to filter the air drawn into the crankcase on a engine with a PCV system, like fordsforever73 said mostly on gas engines. Would serve no useful purpose on a CCV / road draft setup.
