at what point do u decide to convert to cross over steering 8, 10, 12 just wanting some unknown info.

It's nice to have any time no matter the lift, but when you get to around 10" or above, its pretty much necessary.

IMHO, At 8" it is a nice but not absolutely necessary option. 10" and bigger I would say you had better get X-over. People will tell you you don't need it till 12". My experience is 10"

9" here on factory steering with no problems. i wouldnt go any higher though without swapping. 02s and up have a stronger sector shaft, so newer trucks can get away with 9-10...

Anything over 8". The Dynatrac unit can be used on as little as 6" of lift.
