So it looks as if I will soon be able to revive the old rocket however I need a little advice. I am looking at a complete drop in motor (about $5k), replacing the IDI with a 12v (I figure about $6k after selling IDI and tweaking 12v w/ about 100k mi on it), here is where the prices elude me and I have some questions, long block and add the good parts that I have that a long block doesnt, short block and build the top end, buy block and build one bad IDI or rebiuld what I have although I believe the heads, crank and a few other crucial parts may be junk. No matter what I do it will be tweeked a bit. Any ideas, thoughts, opinions or advise. THanks.
