i aquired a early 2004 cummins 5.9L dodge engine to put into my 79 ford.

but the guy before me did something to the engine and we dont know what it was (we belive that he blew a hole in or melted the number 5 piston) and i have to take it apart to figure out what it is

if its only the one piston and nothing else is wrong im just going to replace that one piston if not im replacing them all

but does anyone know where i can find a cheep place to get pistons, gastkets or both for this engine

thanks in advanced - Tj

try getting some info over at cumminsforum.com. They have a cummins conversion section and those guys should be able to help you out.

look at pitsburgh diesel injection if your going to install all new slugs as the last time i did one orderd everything from them and they ceramic coated the pistons for a litle bit of nothing and the sent complete gasket kit also. they are really great people to deal with
